Arun Kumar Garg is a distinguished educator and administrator currently serving as the District Education Officer (DDO) of 9 secondary schools, posted at Government Model Senior Secondary School, Datewas (Mansa). A trailblazer in the field of education, he topped the Punjab Public Service Commission PES-1 Examination in 2019 and was honored with the National Teacher Award 2022 by the President of India. His contributions have been recognized globally, including an Honorary D. Litt Degree from the University of Central America, Bolivia (2021), and the Malti Gyan Peeth Puraskar (2017) by the President of India.

An accomplished author, he has been crafting syllabus books for Mathematics (Class 1st to 10th) for the Punjab School Education Board since 2015. As a State Vedic Math Trainer and NTSE State Resource Person, he has played a pivotal role in shaping Punjab’s educational landscape. His efforts in the Punjab Online Education Program have reached thousands through 163 lectures broadcast on NCERT-regulated channels.

Driven by a passion for empowering underprivileged students, he founded the NGO PEHAL Foundation to foster scientific thinking. His accolades include the Punjab State Award 2018, the Rashtra Nirman Rattan Award, and his role as a State Resource Person for VVM under Vigyan Parishad Panchnand.
